ISLAMABAD: The CADD has decided to award cash prizes to students, teachers and educational institutions in the capital who had outstanding performance in the recently-held final examinations.

In a meeting with area education officers and the Federal Directorate of Education Director General, State Minister for CADD Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry announced that a meeting would also be arranged between these awardees and PM Nawaz Sharif.

It was further decided that the heads of schools and colleges who had poor results would be held accountable for the performance of their respective institutions. They would also be asked to review and evaluate the reasons why their students performed poorly so that a strategy could be formed to bring about improvements.

Schools and colleges were also ranked according to the results achieved by their students in a bid to inculcate an atmosphere of competition among the institutions.
