Users are forced to manually add dozens of friends to a new group chat to inform them about the change in number or text them their new number. This is not only time consuming but also tiresome.
WhatsApp testing new feature which will let users revoke sent messages
However, all this is about to change now as Facebook-owned messaging app is reportedly testing a new "Change Number" feature in the beta version of WhatsApp. According to details, users will easily be able to notify their contacts about the change in phone number using the new feature. The groups that users are included will also be notified.
Users will also have option the option to decide whether they want to notify all contacts or just contacts the ones they have active chats open with.

The new feature was spotted by WABetaInfo, a Twitter account that monitors WhatsApp’s developments.

Earlier, the account also reported that the messaging platform has started testing an ‘unsend’ feature which will give users the option to delete messages they have already sent. However, users will have a five minute window to revoke sent messages after which the option will not be available.
