Our history: Birth of two nations or two states?
KLF, having recently held its eighth event in Karachi in February this year, is reaching London on May 20, 2017. British Deputy High Commissioner Belinda Lewis said on the occasion, "KLF is going to London for the first time. It's important that we hold such a festival because of our shared history. I would love to be there during May this year."
The event will feature writers from Pakistan, UK, France, India and the US. "It's happening in London. Many writers from Kamila Shamsie to Muhammad Hanif are going to be a part of it," said the founder of KLF, Ameena Saiyid.
Karachi welcomes Shabnam with open arms
With four parallel sessions running against each other, there will be 20 sessions altogether with 70 Pakistani speakers at the event. The discussion will be chiefly Pakistan-centric, touching on gender, Urdu language, Karachi city and Pakistani film and theatre. The keynote speaker will be Mohammad Hanif.
The tickets of the festival have already been sold out.
