"Of course it’s a great achievement for me but I am happier because with this drama we highlighted a very important social issue," said the Tumhare Siwa star.

Thanking his production team, the co-actors and the writer, Ahsan said that he is glad to see the changing role of television in our society, for him it’s no longer just an entertainment medium but a vehicle of discourse and he was overwhelmed by how people responded to Udaari.

"Television is such an effective medium and there is so much happening around you that you have to make socially aware content. Take the Mashal Khan incident for that matter," he further added

The actor thanked journalists from both the English and Urdu press who supported Udaari when PEMRA had banned the serial. " This all couldn't have been possible without the power of media," he concluded.

Rebirth | 7 years ago | Reply People 'thanking' him for doing this as if they're related to the victim or Mr. Khan did them a favor, is absolutely insane. It is quite clear that he has a conscience and did it based on that. Kindly, don't adopt national causes as if you have ownership over them and you are the only standard-bearer for them. Thanks on behalf of all Pakistanis.
