KSE-100 falls by 240 points

KARACHI: A record downward day was witnessed at the Karachi Stock Market with key indices losing heftily.

A low exchange volume prevailed over the market while key indices shed massive amount of points.

KSE and KMI-30 indices lost 24 and 300 points respectively, while the KSE-100 Index fell to a 55-day record low at 10,032 after losing 240 points.

The Index is close to falling back under the psychological 10,000 barrier.

A low exchange volume persisted in trade today at 76 million.

The All-Share Index also lost 170 points today.
