A new video emerged on Wednesday showing students of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan allegedly searching for Mashal Khan's body in cars leaving the varsity campus.

The 45-second clip shows students gathered at the main gate of the campus. The students can be seen stopping cars at the gate and checking boots before letting them go, while a police officer looks on.

The crowd of students intended to burn Mashal's body, according to a source. The source said, the mob of students after fatally beating and shooting Mashal wanted to burn his body so no evidence could be left.

Mashal, a 23-year-old journalism student was brutally lynched by a mob of AWKUM students and administration officials on April 13 following accusations of blasphemy. He was first shot and then severely beaten. Earlier videos of the lynching show Mashal's blood stained body on the floor as people stomped on him, beat him with sticks and dragged him around.
