RAWALPINDI: Wrong and double parking are the main hurdle in smooth flow of traffic on various roads of the city. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Yousaf Ali Shahid said in a statement on Friday adding that teams have been constituted to lift vehicles on the violation besides impounding vehicles. The CTO urged motorists to avoid parking their vehicles in no-parking areas as well as on roadsides that lead to traffic jam and thus creating problems for the public. “It is our duty to follow traffic laws to avoid accidents and avoid traffic mayhem,” Shahid said. He said that 500 wardens would be inducted to regulate traffic in the city and expressed the hope that induction of additional force would help regulate the flow of traffic and mitigate the suffering of motorists besides resolving traffic issues in the city.
