Need for food: Experts urge use of artificial insemination

The training course focuses on enhancing milk and meat production in the country.

LAHORE: University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha stressed that milk and meat production could be increased through artificial insemination.

He urged livestock professionals to contribute to the uplift of the sector to meet the growing demand for food.

The vice chancellor expressed these views at the concluding ceremony of a one-month in-service artificial insemination (refresher) training course organised in collaboration with the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Livestock and Dairy Development Department.

UVAS Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and AJK Livestock and Dairy Development Director General Dr Matloob Hussain Raja co-chaired the concluding session of the workshop on Wednesday

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Talat said UVAS’s doors were always open to all and its assistance and services were available for practitioners and researchers across the country.
