No group claimed responsibility for the explosion.

Eight shops and a vehicle were damaged while a number of houses’ window-panes were also shattered in the remote-controlled blast.

The three injured – two hailed from Lahore and Hyderabad, a local resident – were transported to the DHQ Hospital Gwadar.

A heavy contingent of law enforcement agencies, officials and rescue workers rushed to the scene and the area was cordoned-off.

While condemning the blast, Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri said terrorists cannot halt the province's development. "Cause of the explosion will be investigated.”
