The governor said this while addressing the convocation of the Agriculture University Peshawar on Tuesday.

Jhagra said, “Pakistan has to adopt knowledge based and technology-driven modes of production to secure the highest standards in the output of goods and services.” He added that universities and educational institutions have to play key role in this pursuit.
The governor told the graduating students that the incumbent government was committed to providing financial and material resources but we should not ignore the responsibility of the teachers and parents to provide an environment which encourages learning.

Jhagra felicitated the graduating students who successfully completed their degrees. He also praised the vice chancellor of the university for providing standard education to the young students.
During the ceremony the Governor gave away 280 degrees, including 17 PhDs to the graduating students. The event was also attended by the Minister for Agriculture Sardar Ikramullah Gandapur, Vice Chancellor Agriculture University Zahoor Ahmad Swati, Professors, students and their parents.
