Boycott proved Kashmiris only want freedom from Indian occupation: Yasin Malik

JKLF chairman extended condolences to bereaved families of demonstrators killed

ISLAMABAD: The chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Yasin Malik while terming the the boycott in Indian-held Kashmir a referendum against illegal-occupation, said the five per cent theory of Mehbooba Mufti has come true with a revelation that even five per cent of Kashmiris are not with India, APP reported.



JKLF chairman extended condolences to the bereaved families of the demonstrators who were killed yesterday in a statement issued in Srinagar, according to the Kashmir Media Service.

Malik said the "Indian rulers, their stooges and occupational forces cannot force Kashmiris into submission" through "killing sprees, maiming and other oppressive measure".

“From last seven months hundreds of our kith and kin are being killed, thousands and being maimed and blinded but the resilience of Kashmiris has not been shaken and our resistance remains steadfast as ever," the statement added.

Malik said that "frustrated by the exemplary boycott and peaceful protest across valley against this drama, Indian soldiers and police at the behest of so-called rulers target fired upon many innocent youth at various places and killed and injured many of them.”



He added Kashmiris have witnessed Indian brutality and oppression since the last 70 years and last two decades in particular, but they have not surrendered.

JKLF chairman asserted that despite restrictions and blockades including banning the internet, Kashmiris paid "reverence to their martyrs and (their) sacrifices (and) boycotted this drama, and proved that Kashmiris only want freedom from illegal occupation of India".
