There needs to be a system of price control so that the lives of the common man are made easier
FAISALABAD: The sudden increase in poultry rates has rocked the entire nation. Within a month nearly 70 per cent increase was noted in the price of chicken. The retailers claim that a lot of investors have pulled out from the poultry business which has led to an increase in the price as the supply is low. They say that not a lot of chickens are being raised hence the prices had to be increased.
The government needs to take a step in such cases and regulate the prices for the consumers because it has become very difficult for households to purchase their regular meat of choice. There needs to be a system of price control so that the lives of the common man are made easier. It shouldn’t be left blindly on the retailers to decide a price of such commodities.
