Samsung unveiled its flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8 last month. While the device wouldn’t start shipping before April 21, fans are already fussing about the company’s next phablet.

The Galaxy Note 8, a follow up device for the ill-fated Note 7 isn’t expected to be released until the end of 2017; however, a latest 'leak' may actually give us an early look at the device.

Posted in Slashleaks, the picture show a device quite similar to the Galaxy S8+ along with Samsung’s S Pen. The picture does not provide any product details and source, which casts doubt on its legitimacy.

The device in the picture does feature more square dimensions at the edges, something we saw on the Note 7. However, without getting a good look at the bottom of the device to check if there's a slot for the Pen, there's no way to know if it's actually a Note prototype.

It is worth noting that the device in the picture does fall in line with earlier leaks that showed a similar device.

The new Note smartphone is expected to come with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display, making it just a bit bigger than the 6.2-inch S8+, along with a Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 9000-series processor, 6GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of built-in storage.
