ISLAMABAD:
Taking cognisance of the sudden increase in load shedding hours in the country, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Thursday submitted a calling attention notice to the National Assembly Secretariat to apprise parliament about the real situation of the power outages.
Khawaja Asif confident that ‘power supply situation’ will improve
Signed by MNAs Abdul Sattar Bachani, Dr Nafisa Shah, Mir Aijaz Jakhrani, Syed Mustafa Mehmood, Dr Shazia Sobia and Beelum Husnain, PPP members in their notice said prolonged load shedding of electricity is causing grave concerns among the public.
“Non-availability of electricity for long hours is making the life of people miserable,” they said. “It has not only affected domestic life but is also hurting the business activities as industries are shutting down their operations due to short supply of electricity.”
