PESHAWAR: A blast in the Hashtnagri area of Peshawar injured 15 people, on Friday.

Express 24/7 correspondent Iftikhar Firdous reports that the blast took place inside a rickshaw which was reportedly carrying explosive material. According to Firdous, initial reports had suggested that blast could have been a result of the cylinder in the rickshaw, but police had confirmed it was not and that there was a small amount of explosive material being carried in the rickshaw.

The area has a large population and is a central junction where people from far flung areas take local transport to go back home.

Three men who were inside the rickshaw are reported to be in critical condition. The injured have been shifted to Lady Reading Hospital.

The police have started investigations in the blast.
