YouTube video of the day: Killer facts about education

In an ongoing bid to raise awareness about the plight of education in Pakistan, a new teaser video has been released as part of the March for Education campaign.

The video provides a minimalist, yet gripping assault of facts and figures to highlight where Pakistan stands in terms of education. To cite just one chilling fact:
26 countries are poorer than Pakistan, but send more of their children to school.

The Pakistan Education Task Force, a body set up in 2009 by the federal government to offer recommendations on how to implement education policies, in a recent report has stated that the education for all target stated in the Constitution of Pakistan will not be achieved during the lifetime of anyone alive today.

Video rating: Two thumbs up for trying to raise awareness on a critical issue.
