We all knew that Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s latest romantic comedy Badrinath Ki Dulhania has been running successfully all over the world but no one expected it to do as well as it did. In fact, the Shashank Khaitan directorial has become the second highest grosser of 2017 and has also managed to beat the record set by Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees in some places around India, reported Yahoo! Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees that collected INR128.77 crore total.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania has collected INR6.98 crore in Rajasthan while Raees is leading second with Rs 6.21 crore. It is expected to break records in some more places across the country as well.

The film has chances to emerge on top in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh by the end of this week too. Experts are speculating that Badrinath Ki Dulhania can still survive a few more weeks at the box office seeing as how there are no new big releases coming up for a while now.

This has been a huge advantage for the film so far, as there has been no other release to give it competition. The other mid-budget releases are not faring too well either, thereby helping Badrinath Ki Dulhania out even more.
