Misbah, Younus on Wisden’s ‘Cricketers of the Year’ list
Group also features English trio of Ben Duckett, Chris Woakes and Toby Roland-Jones
NEW DELHI:
Pakistan Test captain Misbahul Haq and veteran batsman Younis Khan are on the Wisden’s prestigious five "Cricketers of the Year" list, the publication announced on Wednesday.
The list also includes English trio of Ben Duckett, Chris Woakes and Toby Roland-Jones.
India captain Virat Kohli has been named the "Leading Cricketer in the World" in this year's edition of the Wisden Cricketers' Almanack.
Barring the just-concluded home series against Australia, Kohli had a fairytale year in which the batsman averaged more than anyone in all three formats, while his team lost only once in their 13-test home season.
Australia's Ellyse Perry was named the world's leading women's cricketer.
Kohli is the third Indian, after Virender Sehwag (2008, 2009) and Tendulkar (2010), to have won the honour.
