Strict action: Mayor bans late night events in marriage clubs

Mayor reviews security, timings, one dish policy and other related issues of the marriage clubs.

MULTAN: The city mayor has issued instructions to ban all ceremonies except for marriage events in local clubs. However, he has also issued orders to the administration of marriage clubs to strictly follow the timing schedule and act on one dish policy.

For the purpose, a meeting was held on Tuesday under the supervision of Multan Mayor Chaudhry Naveedul Haq.

The mayor reviewed security, timings, one dish policy and other related issues of the marriage clubs. He ordered the officials concerned not to book any event in the clubs except for marriage ceremonies. He added all ceremonies should end by 10pm while late night functions will not be allowed. “The government will take strict action against the violators of the rules. These are necessary for the maintenance of discipline in society,” he maintained.
