Saint Petersburg shuts metro station after anonymous bomb warning - RIA

MOSCOW: Saint Petersburg's Sennaya Ploshchad metro station has been closed after an anonymous phone call warned of another possible attack, Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported on Tuesday.

Another agency Interfax said its reporter had seen several
fire engines outside the station.



Yesterday, an explosion rocked a metro station, killing 14 in what the Russian authorities described as an “act of terror”.

Russia’s Investigative Committee said it was probing an “act of terror” but added it would look into all other possible causes of the blast.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the explosion, which comes after the Islamic State group called for attacks on Russia in retribution for its military intervention in Syria fighting against the militants.
