In a statement, Karan said: “I am ecstatic to share with you all the two most wonderful additions to my life, my children and lifelines; Roohi and Yash.
While B-Town whole-heartedly congratulated the ace director, Karan's hot favourites Shah Rukh and Kajol stayed mum. However, before anyone could point a finger towards the Raees star, he clarified that he respects KJo's privacy a bit too much and will definitely be a part of the celebrations.
I don't have a relationship with Kajol any more: Karan Johar
Kajol, on the other hand, was yet to congratulate the My Name Is Khan director.
Now, in a recent interview, Kajol was asked if she would go and meet the newborns. To this, the We Are Family star quickly replied, “I am not answering any questions on that topic," reports Business of Cinema.
Talking about the fallout in his autobiography, Karan wrote, "I don’t have a relationship with Kajol anymore. We’ve had a fallout. Something happened that disturbed me deeply which I will not talk about because it’s something that I like to protect and feel it would not be fair to her or to me. After two and half decades, Kajol and I don’t talk at all. We just acknowledge each other, say hello and walk past."
Shah Rukh finally reacts to Karan Johar’s twins
He further wrote, "No matter what happens, I’m never going to be there for her. Maybe it doesn’t matter to her at all. I don’t even want to speak about her husband. He doesn’t matter to me, he never did. I still don’t want to say anything about her husband because I want to respect the history she and I shared."
Kajol and Karan collaborated on various projects like Dil Wale Dulhaniya Le Jayengay, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, My Name is Khan, and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham... to name a few.
However, as Kajol stayed tight-lipped about the matter, seems like this issue will remain unresolved forever.
