After a childhood spent kicking around the Australian rural outback, Miranda Kerr broke into modelling at just 13, walking the runways for brands like Balenciaga, Prada, and Victoria's Secret. She went on to earn herself a spot as the world's 10th highest paid model last year.

But at the apex of her career, Miranda is still pondering beginnings. "I was born six weeks premature," Marie Claire quoted the Sydney native, now 33, as saying. "So I'm very passionate about the health and welfare of women and babies. Being a preemie gives me a special connection with the Royal Hospital for Women Foundation."

The only women's hospital in Miranda’s home province of New South Wales, the institution has spent the last 150 years driving innovations in neonatal care and women's health. Since 2015, Miranda has been championing the organisation as its ambassador and is now, taking it a step further.

Teaming up with aptly named label Mother, the supermodel has designed a capsule collection of 12 denim pieces the proceeds from which will go to support the hospital's mission. "I worked hand-in-hand with designers Tim Kaeding and Lela Becker on every detail," said Miranda. "I appreciate their design aesthetic 'Don't take yourself too seriously!'"

"The best part is how good Miranda made everything look when she tried the pieces on," added Tim. The Miranda + Mother collection includes the brand's signature blues (with special messages inscribed inside waistbands) and more whimsical pieces like a butterfly-embroidered button-up and white tees bearing mantras like Attitude of Gratitude. "The messages, the sayings, they are all Miranda," shared the designer. Sounds like a true labour of love.
