The chief minister said rulers from southern Punjab had just ruled the country but never thought of removing the sense of deprivation among the people of the region.
He was speaking at a public gathering after laying the foundation stone of 98-kilometre-long Lodhran-Khanewal two-way road and flyover over Pirwala Road Railway crossing. He also announced provision of 20 air-conditioned buses for Lodhran. The programme of potable water is being started from 37 tehsils of southern Punjab and billions of rupees would be spent on the project.
