Foods of plant origin vital for health: experts

Muhammad Nawaz Shareef University of Agriculture holes a one-day Plant Centric Meal Competition

MULTAN: Muhammad Nawaz Shareef University of Agriculture (MNSUAM) organised a one-day Plant Centric Meal Competition on Monday. The event was inaugurated by MNSUAM Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Asif Ali. Volka Foods CEO Zulfiqar Ali Anjum was the guest of honour.

While addressing the participants, Asif Ali said the main objective of organising the event was to highlight the importance of foods of plant origin and to discourage the use of junk food.

“The event will help in highlighting awareness among masses and adopt healthy dietary habits,” the vice-chancellor said.

Different schools, colleges and universities took part in the competition.
