LAHORE: A beauty salon owner was stabbed to death on Monday allegedly by her in-laws who doubted her character.

The victim, identified as Farzana Bibi, ran a beauty parlour in the main
bazaar of Amar Sadhu Chungi, Factory Area police said.

On Monday, her father-in-law and brothers-in-law Mian Khan and Jibran went to her workplace and exchanged some harsh words with her first before attacking the woman with sharp weapons.

The victim suffered critical injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival.

Initial investigation suggested the victim was ‘killed for honour’ as her in-laws doubted her character.

However, an investigator told The Express Tribune that Farzana’s husband had himself set up the salon for his wife so claims of honour killing were pre-mature.
