PM’s scheme: Over a dozen colleges get laptops

ISLAMABAD: Keeping in line with the Prime Minister’s directive, students at 17 colleges of Islamabad have received as many as 4,545 laptops and tablets.

Students of ICT colleges, who had applied for the gadgets in phase-II and phase-III of the PM’s Laptop Scheme are awarded laptops in a ceremony on Wednesday.

Islamabad Model Postgraduate College for Girls F-7/2 received the most machines with 849 laptops and tablets for its registered students.

0.12m laptops to be given to students

Islamabad Model Postgraduate College for Girls (Margalla) in Sector F-7/4 got 401 machines, Islamabad College for Girls F-6/2 got  693, Islamabad Model College For Girls F-6/2 got 201, Government Polytechnic Institute for Women H-8/1 got 26, Islamabad Model College for Girls  F-10/2 got 400, Islamabad Model College of Commerce for girls F-10/3 got 104, Islamabad Model College for Boys F-10/4 got 77 were among those who received laptops.
