Alauddin lauded the government’s efforts pertaining to businesses in the country, citing the example of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as its biggest achievement.
“CPEC will prove the greatest landmark in the history of Pakistan’s economy,” he said, while addressing the Pakistan Day ceremony at Aiwan-e-Iqbal in Lahore.
The minister also said the Punjab government was taking solid steps to boost its industry and trade for which it was going to introduce a comprehensive industrial policy to address the issues. He urged people to love Pakistan because it was created after untiring efforts and sacrifices of their forefathers.
‘Quaid-e-Azam Apparel Park will help boost economy’
Earlier this week, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his hopes for CPEC during a meeting with Federal Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique.
He said the CPEC has laid a strong foundation of lasting development in Pakistan.
Shehbaz said under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan was on track of progress and prosperity. He said CPEC would prove to be a game-changer in the real sense. The project would pave way for development in the country.
‘Punjab’s GDP higher than that of many countries’
“The political elements who were hatching conspiracies against the progress of the country and prosperity of the people, have become isolated,” Shehbaz remarked. He said the people of Pakistan have rejected the negative politics of the ‘defeatist elements’.
He said the people want to see development and prosperity in the country. “Promises made with the masses will be honoured and no one will be allowed to create hurdles in the way of public service,” the chief minister said.
