Sindh youth hit by nepotism

Letter March 24, 2017
The first step should be to eliminate nepotism and bribery

HYDERABAD: Unemployment is one of the most serious challenges being faced by the people of Pakistan, especially those in Sindh. Sindh is the second largest and most industrialised province of the country. A very large proportion of the population consists of promising youth. There is a huge army of unemployed youth, who have not been able to gain any form of employment due to nepotism, bribery and murder of merit in the entire recruitment process of government departments and educational institutions.

The government has to take responsibility for devising a comprehensive strategy to tackle the challenge of unemployment. The first step should be to eliminate nepotism and bribery so that those who are competent for specified jobs are able to gain employment and are not discouraged and demotivated.
