Pakistan win more medals in Special Olympics World Winter Games

The contingent now has 13 medals in the competition

Pakistan continued their great progress in the Special Olympics World Winter Games 2017 after grabbing two more medals on Thursday.

In the women’s snowshoeing event, the team consists of Fatima Amir, Farha Ahsan, Ramsha Naeem and Sabahat Tariq managed to grab gold for the country in 4x100 meter relay by completing the distance in one minute and 54.20 seconds.

Pakistan’s men team, consists of Muhammad Hamza, Huzaifa Qazi, Muhammad Abdullah and Pervez Ahmed also grabbed a silver in the 4x100 relay in M4 division by completing the distance in one minute 20.20 seconds.

Chairperson of the Special Olympics Pakistan Ronaq Lakhani praised the achievements of the athletes, and said that the athletes gave the nation a gift on the Pakistan Day.
