Dubai has a sizeable Pakistani community, and according to Khaleej Times, two light shows were organised at 7:15pm and 9:15pm at world's tallest building.

Pakistan Army thanked Burj Khalifa and authorities of the UAE “for adding colours” to the celebrations.

March 23 commemorates the passing of the Lahore Resolution, when a separate nation for Muslims of India was demanded in 1940.
