Ex-CJ, son told to 'go to the back of the line' at Jeddah airport

In a video which has gone viral, Chaudhry can been seen being scolded by a man

Former Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and his son, Arsalan Ifitkhar, faced humiliation after being told to "go to the back of the line" at Jeddah airport.

In a video which has gone viral, Chaudhry can been seen being scolded by a man for breaking the queue. Waiting for their flight at Jeddah airport, a person can be heard asking them to go back to the queue and abide by the norms.

Arsalan can be heard saying that business class passengers were asked to come to the front of the queue.

"Talk to those at the counter but don't push in the queue. We have been waiting," the man can be heard telling Arsalan.

The two get into an argument and Iftikhar Chaudhry intervenes saying it "doesn't matter" as he walks out of the frame presumably to the end of the queue.

Iftikhar Chaudhry served as the 20th Chief Justice of Pakistan over three non-consecutive terms from 2005 to 2013.

WSD | 7 years ago | Reply I think Arsalan Iftikhar was right to say that he was a business class passenger and had first right to enter the plan. But he should not have pushed through the que since it is considered rude and should have stayed on a side till Business class passengers are asked to board.

Haji Atiya | 7 years ago | Reply @Tom: I may be wrong but from the video it does not look like they were attempting to board from the departure lounge but rather trying to move ahead to the immigration counter where everyone queues on a FIFO basis. And the so-called "Englishman" may well be a desi.

Shah | 7 years ago | Reply The queue was not for boarding. It was for passport control. Business or economy or first, everyone has to be in the same queue. For a person like these two who travel a lot this was not something new! They both knew it and just were being over smart!

adnan naqvi | 7 years ago | Reply The question is not if they were in the right queue or not. The question is how can an ex-govt servant afford business class tickets. Plus if you see multiple passports his son was holding, he has been travelling extensively internationally. It not free.

Tom | 7 years ago | Reply @Nadeem: Business class and first-class passengers can always pre-board or walk to the front of the line. There is no reason for them to stand in Que. That is why they pay exorbitant prices for the ticket and privilege. Economy ticket to India from New York is around a $1000--, but a business class ticket is over $6000-- and First class is over $11000-. They get the privilege to board first with no Que.
