Skilled Workforce: PRGMEA to set up training institute

Khokhar said the aim of the training institute was to produce trained workforce

Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) Central Chairman for Sialkot Ejaz A Khokhar said due to diversification of manpower in China, buyers of European countries were facing inordinate delay in shipments and increase in prices.

SIALKOT: Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) Central Chairman Ijaz Khokhar on Tuesday said that necessary arrangements were being made for setting up the state-of-the-art Pakistan Readymade Technical Training Institute which will cost over Rs125 million. “We are making adequate efforts for selecting a suitable site in the central area for setting up the proposed institute to facilitate industrial workers,” he said. Talking to APP, Khokhar said the aim of the training institute was to produce trained workforce in the field of stitching, pattern designing, quality control, inspection and sewing machine mechanics.
