Karachi seems to be in love with waffles right now. From food festivals to malls and street stalls, waffles seem to be drawing sweet-toothed mobs everywhere.

With the love for waffles growing strong, it's no surprise that Bond Street Waffles and The Waffle Cart have a new contender --Fam’s Patisserie.

Located at Boat Basin, Fam’s Patisserie hopes to introduce waffles to the masses of Karachi rather than cater to a specific segment of the metropolis.

After designing his own waffle cart, Muhammad Ammar who is also an engineer, set up Fam’s Patisserie along with his brother. Besides the original Belgian waffle, Fam’s Patisserie also serves waffles on a stick and we’re quite taken with them. The waffles on a stick are easy to eat and take along and we couldn’t be happier.

This burger joint in Islamabad has everyone drooling

The waffles come with a wide variety of toppings and ice creams including, Walls, Baskin Robbins & London Dairy.

We tried the Belgian waffle with dark chocolate and caramel and butter pecan ice cream along with chunks of Lindt chocolate. The butter pecan ice cream with the caramel and the buttery, fluffy, waffle was delicious and finished quite fast. Other toppings include fruits such as bananas and berries as well as chocolates and marshmallows.

Owner Ammar also recommends Nutella & Dark Chocolate waffle with Baskin Robbins’ chocolate mousse royal ice cream. Following the success of their waffle cart the brothers are now launching a branch at the Atrium Mall Food Court on March 25. The brothers aim to regularly update their flavour range and continue to treat foodies.

The eatery is looking to expand slowly but steadily without compromising on the hygiene and quality of their service.
