100th convocation: 834 students graduate from CIIT

ISLAMABAD: Over 800 students of the COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) were awarded their graduate and post-graduate degrees during the institutes’ centenary convocation on Monday.

Held at the convention centre, CIIT Rector and Executive Director Dr SM Junaid Zaidi awarded degrees and medals to successful students.

He said that CIIT was committed to providing the best opportunities for learning and personal development.

Around 834 students were awarded BS, MS and PhD degrees in different disciplines of including Bioinformatics, Physics, Economics, Biosciences, Business Administration and Computer Engineering.

PhD degrees were awarded to eight students including Muhammad Sajid, Sajid Hussain Alvi, Sardar Muhammad Gulfam, Nasir Khan, Ubaid Ahmed Nisar, Reheela Manzoor, Rabia Kamal and Faisal Azam in electrical engineering, mathematics, and computer science.
