Compiled from Style Nine, here are the predicted lip styles all the fashionistas will be gushing over this year.
1. The daring glitter lips
Va Va Voom! It might not be the most practical of looks, but if you're after impact (think night get togethers and shaadi functions) you can't possibly go past the glitter lip. It looks incredible in all shades but our heart belongs to the deep red version. This style will make sure you glisten amid a crowd!

2. Irresistible rosy nude lips
Another trend we're going to see absolutely everywhere is the rosy nude lip. This one works on just about every skin tone. It's particularly pretty with a velvet-matte finish. If you don't have the product with that particular texture, pat a little Vaseline on top for that extra oomph.
3. Killer plum lips
Rich, dark, vampy lips will never go out of style particularly when applied with a lipstick brush and lip pencil to provide that perfectly-shaped cupid's bow. You can definitely wear this shade after dark, but this season it's perfectly appropriate as day wear too. Just make sure to keep the rest of the makeup subtle – let that pout do all the talking.
4. Statement-making glossy lips
If a matte lip just isn't your cup of tea, you'll be happy to discover that serious gloss is in vogue right now too. A high-tech mirror-shine gloss is best worn in the brightest of reds, oranges and pinks for that extra punch of brilliance.

5. The neon orange pout
If you dig a traditional bold red but are yearning for an update, try a vivid red or neon-orange blend. It gives a tropical vibe and is the 2017 version of hot pink. We particularly like it when it's matte. Of course, if you find matte hard to wear, go for the velvet texture and watch your pout steal all the limelight at any event.
