President Rustam Minnikhanov departs from Lahore to Islamabad following his one day visit to provincial capital

LAHORE: Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has departed from Lahore to Islamabad following his one day visit to the provincial capital. Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif went to the airport to see off the president. While speaking on the occasion, Rustam said the CM had one over the hearts of the visiting delegation with his hospitality. “I have been overwhelmed with the warm welcome and generosity extended to me by Shehbaz Sharif,” he added. Rustam said his days in Lahore were terrific and he was leaving with unforgettable memories. “The love and respect that the people of Punjab and Lahore have given me is unforgettable.” Shehbaz thanked the Tatarstan president for his visit to Lahore and said it would certainly promote trade and economic relations between Punjab and the republic. Provincial ministers Sheikh Allauddin, Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, Dr Ayesha Ghous Pasha, the chief secretary and others were also present on the occasion.
