The two-day conference, arranged by the Ministry of Education and Professional Development in collaboration with the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), will be held on March 27-28 to promote the holistic and healthy growth of teenagers and provision of quality education at the primary and middle school levels.
According to a statement released on Sunday, the conference aims to find ways to improve the education and brought-up process for children in their early stages.
In this regard, educationists and researchers from across the country would present their research papers.
Arrangements for the moot were reviewed in a meeting held by AIOU Vice Chancellor Dr Shahid Siddiqui and senior officer of the education ministry Rafiq Tahir.
They decided that the moot will be held at the university’s main campus and that both sides would work together on it.
Dr Siddiqui said that the varsity will start research on early childhood development and a research journal on the subject would be published by the end of this year.
The varsity, Dr Siddiqui said, has also planned to introduce special certificate courses on early childhood in addition to a degree programme at the BSc level.
