ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan cricket team can win the World Cup if Shahid Afridi stays at the crease for a little longer period than he is currently and if he and his team follow the dictum that slow and steady wins the race. However, by admitting in public that the shot he got out on against the Aussies was “irresponsible”, Afridi has shown the courage to learn from mistakes. The whole nation is behind the skipper and his team. By defeating defending champions Australia, the Pakistan team has made the nation proud and raised the hopes and expectations of fans.
