Sent to prison: ATC awards 28-year jail to terrorist

Accused also confessed to his involvement in terrorism activities.

SARGODHA: A man was awarded 28-year imprisonment for his involvement in terrorism case in Sargodha on Friday. The judgment was announced by ATC Judge Tariq Mehmood Zargham.

Prosecution told the court that police arrested Muhammad Javed, resident of Mianwali, on August 17, 2016 and recovered ammunition from his possession.

The accused also confessed of his involvement in a terrorist activity.

The police registered a case against the accused and presented a challan before the court for trial.

After hearing the statements and considering the evidence, the court handed down 28 years imprisonment and ordered confiscation of the accused’s property. The culprit was shifted to District Jail Sargodha.

Earlier on December 23, 2016, a man was awarded 28 years imprisonment for his involvement in terrorism case within Phularwan police station.

The judgment was announced by Judge Tariq Mehmood Zargham. The police arrested accused Muhammad Imran alias Mano on April 16, 2016 and recovered a hand grenade from his possession. The accused also confessed of his involvement in a terrorist activity. app
