GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA: A controversial US evangelical preacher on Sunday oversaw the burning of a copy of the Quran in a small Florida church after finding the Muslim holy book “guilty” of crimes.

The burning was carried out by pastor Wayne Sapp under the supervision of Terry Jones, who last September drew sweeping condemnation over his plan to ignite a pile of Qurans on the anniversary of September 11, 2001 attacks.

Sunday’s event was presented as a trial of the book in which the Quran was found “guilty” and “executed.”

The jury deliberated for about eight minutes. The book, which had been soaking for an hour in kerosene, was put in a metal tray in the center of the church, and Sapp started the fire with a barbecue lighter.

The book burned for around 10 minutes while some onlookers posed for photos.

Jones had drawn trenchant condemnation from many people, including US President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, over his plan to burn the Muslim holy book in September.

He did not carry out his plan then and vowed he never would, saying he had made his point.

But this time, he said he had been “trying to give the Muslim world an opportunity to defend their book,” but did not receive any answer.

He said he felt that he couldn’t have a real trial without a real punishment.

The event was open to the public, but fewer than 30 people attended.

Life in the normally quiet city of Gainesville is centered around the University of Florida. And while there were public protests against Jones’ 9/11 activities, this event was largely ignored.

Jadwiga Schatz, who came to show support for Jones, expressed concern that Islam was growing in Europe.

“These people, for me, are like monsters,” she said. “I hate these people.”

Jones said he considered this event a success.

“This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” he said.

People forget that hatred begets hatred. Basically hatred comes out of fear. This act serves whom? In the name of freedom of expression, these sort of incidents are allowed forgetting that every freedom comes with responsibility and accountability. Where will our fears take us …? The whole world seems to be operating on fears; Pre emptive strikes …. retaliation strikes…. killing people to save lives…..???

The Muslim world should not get into a reaction mode as this is what is the desired and intended outcome of this deplorable action. There must be peaceful demonstrations denouncing this heinous act and all schools of thoughts should join in. But I doubt if this would happen as majority would fear that ‘peaceful protest’ might be taken as ‘weakness’ and thus violence ….? Basically reflecting our fears through hatred – what a vicious cycle. God Bless All.Recommend

This just shows that intolerance and extremism is not restricted to any one religion, race or country. It would have been best if ET had not published this news. You are just giving these fanatics the publicity they want. Not only that, knowing how your countrymen react to these things emotionally. This article and the comments from readers really proves that a little knowledge is extremely dangerous. I am amazed that renowned websites and newspapers should even publish these kinds of things.. if the preacher who burnt the Quran is inciting religious hatred then these media are just helping to take it forward. Burning of any holy book – the Bible, Quran, Thalmud or even the old vedic texts is bound to create ‘religious tension’. Is this really freedom of expression or its abuse? Forget about religious grounds, this preacher should be dealt with according to the US constitution. ‘There is no compulsion in religion, truth is clear from error’.. is a verse from the same book that this preacher has burnt. And I would really love to see actual references where the Quran encourages suicide bombing, wife beating, hate etc… People need to stop living in delusions and reacting out of exaggerated emotions; take the trouble to actually read and understand what you are fighting against. Maybe then it will not remain a concern ‘that Islam is spreading in Europe’. Recommend

Shame on Wayne Sapp & Terry Jones for carrying out this henious crime. Calling action against these people and other like-minded ones will not surely be taken by any one including the respective governments he will suffer sooner than later. And the back lash and condemnation will be very severe.

This is high time that all Muslims and Muslim Countries take out their wealth from US & Western countries without any further delay. Please have faith in your own country and people and after all you have earned (legally or illegally) this wealth from your country. Therefore, why make the economy of these countries flourish with your wealth. People of your own country see towards you, why not, invest in your own country. As it is we have seen these countires freezing assets of Hosne Mubarak and Gaddafi recently. All that money which these two persons kept for spending peaceful life in the West after retiring is gone / frozen. Shame on these people for fleecing their own country and losing it forever. Who knows when threse countries change their laws and all these assets of foreigners are taken over. Who knows you will have to justify the resources of piling up the money there. As such, the illgotton money will be frozen straight away. Therefore, Muslims, open up your eyes now. Have faith and trust in your own country and people.

For God’s sake don’t keep your wealth in these countries and try to bring it back ASAP.Recommend

ALLAH certainly KNOW how to protect his book! One of the Qur’an’s most important attributes is that it reached us in the very same form in which it was revealed to our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)… [We have sent down the Reminder, and We will preserve it.] (Al-Hijr 15: 9)

The article does not reflect what action authorities have taken against the preacher or even any distaste on their part.. in fact it ends on almost a victorious note – the reporter took the trouble to interview a biased bystander who blatantly proclaims that ‘Muslims are monsters’, when he/she should have actually interviewed the city authorities whose statement would have been more significant. Statements such as ‘I hate these people (Muslims)’ did not need to be reported here. These are the things that make matters worse because these statements reinforce other ignorant peoples biases and it escalates from there. Not just Muslims, but any kind of killing must be covered in the news – but without bias and for the purpose of setting things right, for justice and not creating more chaos. Recommend

Now these sick minded people never ever read the Holy Quran and I back you for as where in Holy Quran it say about beating the wives, suicide bombing, killing the innocent people etc.

And once they write such things and people start to hate them, then they run to find a refuge.
Why do not they first read before saying something, where as Quran is only one, there are no versions in Quran since the last 1400 years, where as Bible has so many versions but we do not object as its a holy book and do not use our”freedom of expression”….

Burning Quran does not mean that Islam has died with the burning of Quran, as Islam is a religion of peace and not hatred.

Wayne Sapp and Terry Jones do not have sound minds. Even if they burn Quran available in the entire world, still Islam will survive and will exist in the world as Quran is safe in the hearts and minds of the Muslims.

The difference between the Christians and Muslims are that Christians are narrow minded people and Muslims are broad-minded.

What ever the reaction may be on burning of Quran in the Muslim world, one thing is sure that any Muslim will neither make any caricature of Jesus Christ, nor will burn Bible in revenge and retaliation as a matter of respect and regards for the believers of Christianity and followers of Jesus Christ.

This is the basic difference between the Christians and Muslims. The readers of these columns will decide that who are the real terrorists? Muslims or Christians? Recommend

The onus of a more accurate interpretation of the book and the debate whether the book is “holy” or not should lie with all muslims. Unfortunately because of terrorism the same has shifted to all of us. Other major religions of the world are changing with times and Islam has not. However, it seems that while being so reasonable and coolminded, the muslims here fail to understand the gravity of the act. I am not so angered or outraged as aggrieved at this act, for which an individual or the individuals involved are responsible and obviously not an entire nation. It has gone much beyond just interpretation. We really don’t care if the book is holy or how holy it is. We all want to live in peace but not the peace of the dead. Europe is seething with anti-Muslim hatred. Today’s reports talk about a similar situation in Australia. US is no exception. They have fought world wars and are not afraid to fight another. @PriyaSuraj; Yours are one of the very few abovequoted comments that make the most sense while reacting to this hurtful news item. I am deeply impressed with your approach and reasoning. It seems to be a deliberate and planned act on part of the perpetrators to provoke muslims all over the world to an emotional frenzy to prove their point. How much successful they be it all depends upon how we react and our own threshold of self-control. As a Pakistani Muslim I know we are highly inflammable emotionally and no self control what so ever when it comes to things related to religion.
Now to all those who are saying that Holy Quran only preaches peace and love are either ignorant and never read and understood it or simply speaking are liers. It does preach hate and promote violence along with message of love and peace but so do the Old Testament and Gita. The only difference between us and them (Jews and Hindus) they have changed and fully acknowledge that such teachings are archaic and thus are irrelevent. But unfortunately we are tought that Holy Quran has been perfectly preserved in its origional form is not true it has been changed from the origional more than once much has been added on to suite the ruler( khalifa)of the day. Being a faithful with understanding is onething but being a blindly faithful is most harmful to the individual as well as to the whole Ummah. Unfortunately that is what we are at aleast a great majority of us are nothing more than hyporites with least understanding of the Holy Quran.

I don’t object to the burning of the Quran on religious grounds because I think blasphemy shouldn’t be a crime and that religious people should get thicker skin. That said, I think burning any book is a despicable thing to do. People who put books on trial (a perfectly stupid idea) and burn them show that they’re depraved enemies of freedom. When you burn a book, you are showing that you don’t mind ideas being erased from the world. You’re showing that you’d much rather censor ideas than challenge them intellectually, which is authoritarian and demented. The perfect and august way for Muslims to respond to this act would be to expose the primitive thinking behind it. Muslims will be doing Islam a disservice if they respond to this act by protesting, burning the Bible or attacking Christians.Recommend

Islam means ‘PEACE’. There are radical thinkers in every religion. Unfortunately, religion today is not self driven but politically instilled. Terrorism isn’t inspired by any religious book. Those two imbecile so called pastors would do good to actually learn what the book preaches or even learn first what the Bible says. All religions in its true sense instills the same message of discipline, kindness and peace.

A humble request to anyone reading this

If you are a believer, remember that God sees it all. We should not take matters into our hands and retaliate against mentally retarded people. Live by example and show them what our religion truly stands for and don’t fall for the trap they want us to get into.

Look at this pastor, does he look sane? He is clearly a red neck southerner who have no respect for his own religion, should we expect him to respect others. Quran is not in just a pages bind in book which you could burn Mr Wayne, it is in our heart and mind and soul. It is an idea, and such pious that someday you will end up embracing it. And what will you say to your God for your behavior of intolerance where you dare to insult “God” himself just because of your hatred towards misguided few ( terrorists ). Religion doesn’t make terrorist, intolerance and dis-respect does, “no education” and sense of insecurity does. How about punishing the real culprits instead of the sentiments of the mass. This whole idea of dragging God in our petty human squabble is just absurd. May you be born in a muslim family next time and hopefully then you would get the taste of being on the other side. Its good that the event was largely ignored. Good for everyone. There is seriously no need to protest against this incident, because thats what this guy wants. Every Muslim should keep his/her calm and let it go. Its not about Ghairat or anything, its about being rational when needed. Our Prophet (PBUH) faced hardships but never said a word. Jesus (PBUH) also faced hardships but never did anything in response, because thats what they wanted to teach us. Lets be Humans first, and forget about religions for a second (Which maybe impossible for a lot of us). Lets not brand Islam with our extremist attitudes. Lets try to give it a moderate and soft image (which of course it preaches, but somehow the dirt of time has clouded the eyes of all those who think it is an extremist religion). Islam faced almost the same fate that other religions did. We started using it as a mean for Politics and started fighting each other. Our History is not at all appreciable. People particularly Muslims are very sensitive in case of their religion. SO those who understood it, started using it. Its all politics and power in the end. The real message of Islam was lost in the pages of history.Recommend

Although Some rules throughout the history of world had burnt, damaged the Church, temples and holy books, but this should not be revenged by burning Quran as all Muslims are too sensible on this issue. Instead of burning, try teaching them. Burning Quran will only seed hatred in their hearts.

There should be a law that the media of all countries have to show the good, positive side of stories along with the bad. I look at all of you and I am saddened. Most of you don’t see what I have seen and you probably never will; the Muslim and the Christian who work together toward education and never pick of a weapon for war. People in the U.S. rarely see the stories of the millions of peaceful people that just want to be loyal to our Creator and have a happy family. The people of Pakistan see the drone strikes, but don’t see the Americans that love the people of Pakistan and Afghanistan as I do and are no part of the war. I have studied Bible and Quaran, (Surah 3:84; 4:152) learning from humble messengers that wanted their people to know our Creator, live a clean moral life, and be peaceful with one another. You look to mens government to be your leaders; I am pleased that I have freinds from all over the world of many religions who practice forgiveness and support a government that is not on earth yet.
I was born in the U.S., but I belong to my Creator, Allah Jehovah, not to any man-made government. I pray every day that I do his will. My brother and sisters are Christian and Muslims who do as I do; work to find a peaceful, positive way to teach and educate.
As for Terry Jones, I don’t consider him a Christian! Jesus or his disciples never acted in this way. If he lives to the age of 100, I am confident that he will receive exactly what he deserves in the future, as anyone that shows disrespect to a holy book or is a part of violence will. I am stronger that most of you; because I have forgiven the extemists of 9/11; if they were raised in a peaceful way, they probably would have acted much differently. (Quaran; Surah 2:182, 192-193/ 3:135) ( Bible 1Kings 8:50/ Jeremiah 31:34/ 1John 1:9

Here are the lessons that we can all learn from this hurtful, demeaning and animal like behavior:

Extremism is not the sole province of Al-Qaida and its affiliates, there are fanatics of equal measure, if not worse, in the US
Not all Americans are cut from the same cloth as the two mad Floridians under whose aegis the Holy Book was burnt and or desecrated
The Holy Quran is not easy to understand as it not only apeals to human spirituality and faith in Allah and its messenger Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) but lays out a systematized and comprehensive code of life, encompassing among other areas, socio-economic and political relations, legal framework that protects human dignity, especially women and minority rights, land and property laws and in doing so it draws remarkable inferences from a grand sweep of history particularly from the Judeo-Christian traditions.

Although, there is no pardonable excuse for the heinous crime that the Floridian Neanderthals have committed, it is difficult for me to imagine that an inward looking Pastor from Gainesville Florida has the capacity to understand the complex narrative of the Holy Quran
    4. Muslims must remain vigilant and not allow their emotions to run amok or else they will play right into the hands of these fundamentalists. They must show restraint and debunk these acts of barbarism and the thinking behind them through reasoned arguments and reach out to win the support of the millions of decent Americans, many of whom have already condemned the Pastor’s crime against not only Muslims but all decent peoples of the world.Recommend

Almost everywhere around the world you are being condemned, because every sane person knows that the holy books can teach you only good lessons. Had you learnt it only once with open mind and heart you would have come to know that every word of this holy book teaches its readers how to live their lives in this world. ‘The only difference between us and them (Jews and Hindus) they have changed and fully acknowledge that such teachings are archaic and thus are irrelevent’

I would add – archaic and related to context. I don’t think any sane human being would remain calmly seated in a loving manner and full of affection for an intruder who barges into his/her home and threatens the family with a knife. In this context, forcefully defending yourself and your family and home is obviously the normal response. I wonder if someone sits down in introspection whether he is Jewish, Christian, Hindu, Budhist, Muslim or even an athiest before deciding to ‘forcefully fight’ in such a situation!!!
There is NOT ONE SINGLE place in the Quran where fighting has been encouraged outside such a context. If anyone claims otherwise, produce your references.

‘But unfortunately we are tought that Holy Quran has been perfectly preserved in its origional form is not true it has been changed from the origional more than once much has been added on to suite the ruler( khalifa)of the day’

Please stand corrected that the Quran HAS been preserved in its original form. If you claim otherwise, again, produce your proofs and the different versions. If you cannot, are you actually accusing the Khalifas of blasphemy? Is it so hard to imagine that Allah would be able to send his message through a book which would stand the test of time? Is there some kind of an expiry date on his revelations, so that he would keep having to send us refreshed versions? Ridiculous .. and also hilarious. Recommend

We don’t but moderate muslims do.

Totally agree with you otherwise, just to illustrate my point further –

Quran = Holy book for mad fanatic muslims (A) + Holy book for moderate sane peace loving muslims (B)

    (A) is anti all other religions, breeds terrorism and already wants to destroy whatever comes between them and their “God”. The effect of the above incident on them will be (to B) – We told you so, Americans/Christians hate us, join us in this war/ clash of civilisations.

    (B) respects all religions, wants to live in peace as well as die in peace. The effect of the above incident on them will be – I guess what A says is not wrong, may be I need to become A and protect my religion/identity.

You may argue that if B were so sane, they would not bite the argument forwarded by A. However let me say this that whatever that pastor did will not convert B to A, but how we (other sane peace loving people of other faiths) react to such incidents will ensure if B remains B or becomes A.

The problem with Muslims generally and Pakistani Muslims particularly is that they tend to be emotional – and flaunt empty bravado and braggadocio when the issues we are facing require deep thought and deliberation. Pakistanis in particular are always threatening extreme actions but never seem to deliver on any one of them. Is it any wonder people have begun to ignore what they say and threaten them with?

You obviously don’t know much about American society…this guy IS an extremist and not mainstream at all…where are his supporters? He is completely marginalized in US society. There were maybe 20-30 people in his church at the time…There are hundreds of rapists in America as well…is it now fair to call its people “rapists”? Use your brain please.

It seems like posters here are attempting to compare the thousands of supporters, yes SUPPORTERS, of 9/11 on the streets in Pakistan to a few dozen crazy, but PEACEFUL, Americans and somehow claim that both people are equally extreme…when thousands of Americans come out on the streets to celebrate the death of innocent Muslims, then you can start comparing…until then, swallow hard, and accept that burning a book is nothing compared to killing people and rejoicing when people are killed.Recommend

Interpretation of the Quran is not allowed by the majority of the fundamentalist groups…are you so ignorant of this?? Or just choose to hide your head in the ground like most?

Don’t be so delusional and self-deceiving. Any intellectually honest and open-minded person knows very well that many, yes very many, of your fellow Muslims reference the same verses in the Quran you declare “totally peaceful” to justify and authenticate violence, intolerance, hatred and murder in the name of religion.

If you prefer to ignore reality unless it hammers you over the head, then I suggest you stick your head back in the ground. Pakistanis are good at that. It took most several years to admit 9/11 wasn’t simply a media conspiracy, several more years (after being attacked in their own cities) to acknowledge that the Taliban even existed at all. I know, I used to live and work there and heard it daily! People of the Frontier only started admitting the Taliban’s EXISTENCE after they started blowing up mosques, schools and police posts inside the major cities. People of the Punjab, by and large, STILL don’t admit they exist.

I can’t imagine you are Pakistani as I’ve hardly met anyone with such a reasonable, open mind towards religious criticism in my many years there!

Your words are spot on though. Most Muslims don’t realize that they will never be respected until they take off their hypocritical masks and allow criticism and honest examination of their beliefs, practices and scripture just like other major religions have undergone.

Authenticity is determined by holding something up to the all-revealing light of examination — think of a microscope. Most Muslims have such fear of this. It baffles the mind. But truth-seekers want the truth no matter what is revealed by being put through the fire of examination and critique.Recommend

You are talking nonsense, some sense! I am not an American and do not belong to west and I love and exercise my freedom of speech and I say what you claim as”the only true religion” is as fallacious and hollow as the claim of Hitler that Aryans were a superior race. We saw how the world dismissed that claim – and him -on the trash heap of history. You may have been brainwashed to believe that that you are “ashraf-ul-makhlooqat” (pinnacle of all creation), that does not make you so. A truth is something you should be able to verify. Every fascism inculcates such ideas of superiority in its followers but it is so easy for you to verify the truth. Look at the Muslim world around you. Do you see any sign of an animal that is “ashraf-ul-makhlooqat” living therein?Recommend

Seems G Din does not have any knowledge about Islam. Ashraf ul Maqlookat is referred to for all Human Beings (Muslims or non Muslims) being the most intelligent of the creatures of ALLAH. Hence Human beings will be accountable for their actions and for not accepting Islam by their ONE & ONLY LORD- ALLAH.

    @some sense:
Again, you are not making any sense at all. I confess I do not know everything about Islam especially because the Islam, its followers are presenting to the world is so repulsive. So, exhortation of Muslims to non-Muslims to study Islam falls on deaf ears. Even with all my ignorance, I do know what “ashraf-ul-makhlooqat” means-literally- but the way Muslims practice it, is by setting themselves above every one else outside of Islam. You must know it already that the basic conflict between Muslims and the rest is precisely because no one outside of Islam accepts your Allah as “their ONE & ONLY LORD”. And, they never will. If it hurts your feelings, we don’t care because such surrender is highly personal.
Another misconception I would like to disabuse you of is that “Allah has given muslims the main power- OIL and other natural resources”. That is not true. Muslims do not control those resources, the sheikhs and the sundry dictators do. Let us see you, ordinary Muslims, exercise any control at all. You just can’t, you will not be allowed to.
” (oil)…without which the west would freeze to death”
Ask yourself this question: did the West freeze to death before they showed you how to pull that oil from the bowels of earth. Going further, did you even know that black gold was buried under your feet because Allah certainly kept it buried and out of sight for you. Even if you had known it, what would you have done with it, ignorant as you were how it could be made useful to the humanity. The same west that Muslims are ranting against, discovered that oil, pulled it out, processed it and then invented machines to use it. Until that point i.e how to use it, it was worthless. You couldn’t drink it, could you or bathe in it? Your (Muslim) contribution to all that effort was precisely NIL. Let us now suppose you deny that oil to west, what would you do with it? Would you even want to draw it out? In the meantime, the goods and services you bought with the money you received by its sale would be denied to you. Could you live without them? Think!
Has it occurred to you that Muslims live entirely by parasitising earth or the societies amongst whom they live. In other words, they don’t add any value to anything! Think again!Recommend

  • some sense
    Mar 25, 2011 - 3:16PM

    @G Din

Whether or not you or any non muslim Accepts Allah as their Lord makes no difference to Allah Almighty. Allah has mentioned in the holy Quran that there is only ONE master of this Universe- ALLAH. and whoever believes in Allah is at a benefit and whoever disbelieves and rejects the only true message of the ALL Mighty (Islam) is at a loss. ALLAH also mentions in the Quran that it is not in the power of a human being to convert another to Islam, but it is whomsoever ALLAH wills, shall become a true believer (muslim).
So I feel sad for you, but then its Allah’s will that you remain so. Indeed the muslims are lucky to have the special favour of ALLAH to be the chosen believers.

Secondly just to correct you in a few places. The main resource of this Earth- OIL is predominantly in Muslim lands- Saudi Arabia, Libya, Kazakistan, Azerbaijan, Other Middle east countries, Iraq, etc. So the resources have been blessed to the muslims by ALLAH. Now a few corrupt rulers sell them cheaply to the west. With this revolution of the arab world this scenario may change. Also with China coming up as the next super power and China not being so anti-Islam (China never meddles in the affairs of any other country). The oil can all be sold to China and they are developed enough to extract it. So the west needs the muslim countries and NOT vice versa.

Finally, when the early muslims were true believers and practiced the teachings of the holy Quran and Hadith, they were the world rulers. But when they went away from the teachings of Islam their decline started. But one important thing to note is that empires come and go, but the only true religion ISLAM (GOD’s True Guidance) always remains. The roman empire came and went, Russia came and went and now its the declining time of the west with economic recession and competition from China/far east, the west will falter in a few years. but ISLAM always remains. right from the begining of this universe and the first man on earth (Adam) till the last day. All the prophets and messengers of ALLAH (Like Prophets Ibraheem, Isa, Musa (AS)) brought the same message of ISLAM to worship only ONE LORD- ALLAH.

So the hatred of non muslims for Islam and muslims will not affect islam in the slightest. As ALLAH says in the holy Quran- “Even if the entire world is against you, but ALLAH is with you, no harm can come to you” So these hollow acts of a devil pastor do not have the slightest affect on ALLAH or the only Divine religion ISLAM. Islam is growing every day.

It is a saying of Prophet (saw) that “the early generation of the muslims will be very successful then the middle generation of muslims will be overpowered and then the last generation of muslims (before the end of this world) will again the be rulers of the world” So things are happening just at prophet (saw) predicted. We were the rulers in the beginning, currently we are overpowered, but towards the end of times, we will be victorious once again…

Sorry for you and others like you.

I can’t stop laughing on the inside! It’s like a guy with a brain is communicating to a guy without the capacity to think and reason! Oil ONLY has value because the evil — yet intelligent, hard-working, innovative and creative — West INVENTED machines that could make use of it. At some point in the very near future, the evil West, along with the newly creative, yet equally evil, INDIANS, Chinese and other emerging nations will invent new, alternative energy sources that will render the oil less valuable and less necessary. Maybe then the creative, infidel countries will invent a valuable usage for sand! :)

@some sense: You have missed the point on almost every point! You are blind, self-deluded and ignorant of the world around you. It’s laughable your comments about China! You know nothing of their history. If Muslim countries even THINK of messing with Muslim regions of China (Uyghurs), China will come down harder on you than the “nice” West ever has! They don’t care about you and in fact have a very low view of your peoples — wake up to reality before it knocks you in the side of the head!

Quran is the exact word of God (Allah) and He promised to protect his book. Millions of Muslims around the world memorized the whole Quran and burning all the copies of the Quran worldwide would not shake an atom bit rather it will backfire those who try to harm his book. Quran is a guide for human being who is looking for true guidance and a warning for those who do mischief on earth and a good news for those who follow his guidance that they will have rewards hereafter waiting for them for enjoy ultimate happiness for ever in the heaven. Quran mentioned about 25 prophets including Adam, Noa, Moses, David, Jesus and Mohammed to whom God send messages for guidance for human kind. While Adam is the 1st messenger, Mohammed is the last messenger to convey the God message to the human kind. Since the last message has to stay intact so that all the forthcoming generations can get the true guidance, the Quran has been protected by God himself and nobody can claim today that any changes took place in Quran since it was revealed about 1400 years ago. So there is no point that you can destroy anything to the true religion Islam because that is the only religion God will accept as mentioned in the Last revelation which Quran. Find out more in the Quran if it is the truth. Quran is a miracle of miracle because everything mentioned since 1400 years ago are still intact and true without any error. Recommend
