This was expressed by a senior Kyrgyz lawmaker Aida Ismailova who visited the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) on Thursday.
In a meeting with AIOU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Shahid Siddiqui, she discussed the possibility of establishing a joint distance learning institute for their students and academic staff.
In this regard, they agreed that the two sides would soon sign an MoU on bilateral cooperation in the education sector.
Ismailova, who was representing Kyrgyzstan at the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, appreciated AIOU for catering to the educational needs of thousands of students, particularly those who live in far flung areas with no access to formal education system due to social and financial constraints.
