An army official was among those injured.
Battal police officials and eyewitnesses said on Thursday that the jeep carrying census staff, including the army official, were travelling to the Sharkool village on census duty.
The jeep’s driver lost control over the wheels of the vehicle near the remote hilly village of Banda Sacha. The jeep veered off the road and plunged into a deep ravine.
The school teacher, identified as Abdul Qadir Khan, was killed while Sepoy Noorul Haq and jeep driver Farhad were critically injured.
The dead and injured were rushed to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital in Mansehra. Sepoy Haq was referred to CMH Abbottabad while jeep driver shifted to Ayub Teaching Hospital.
