LAHORE: In today’s world, information technology is the key to success, not only for medium firms but also large-scale companies operating globally. By investing in the IT sector, local companies have the potential to grow and compete with global giants in any sector. The era of digital technologies has revolutionised the way societies work, forcing business leaders to accept the change.

This was the crux of speeches made by leading Chief Executive Officers and IT professionals in a business leaders’ summit held on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Information Technology Board Chairman Dr Umar Saif said that large business groups in Pakistan have to invest in the IT sector to bring them at par with some big groups of neighbouring countries.

Excellence Delivered CEO Sajjad Syed said that organisations need to weed out inefficiencies in their business models, as many manufactured products are no longer in demand.
