Section 144 imposed around exam centres for matriculation

The notification said anyone found violating the order will be charged under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code

PESHAWAR: The district administration has imposed Section 144 in and around examination centres to discourage use of unfair means in matriculation examinations.

Security concerns: Matric exams to be held under police supervision

According to a hand-out issued from the Deputy Commissioner office, the district administration has sufficient ground to impose CrPC Section 144 to prevent the candidates them cheating in the exams.

The matric examination has been started under all intermediate and secondary education boards of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and the Section 144 will remain imposed for a period of 30 days.

The notification said anyone found violating the order will be charged under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
