Reviving PIA a top priority: Nisar

Interior minister says current situation of the national airline is a matter of concern

ISLAMABAD: The revival of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is one of the top priorities of the government, said Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.

He added that in order to ensure the revival and development of the national carrier it is important that a robust mechanism for rooting out corruption should be developed at every level.

He said this during his meeting with Advisor to Prime Minister on Aviation Sardar Mehtab Ali Khan at the Punjab House in Islamabad on Tuesday.

He also told the adviser that the current situation of the national airline is a matter of concern.

See EMIRATES, no Union, no political influence.Only merit and performance base environment. No body points finger. And business continue grow and grow. PIA 800 employees per aeroplane . How possible become profitable.
Parvez | 7 years ago | Reply More money will be allocated....and more money will be looted and plundered....and PIA will be worse off than before. The only solution is to privatize it now...... Even at a loss.
