Turkish president Erdogan calls Netherlands 'Nazi remnants, fascists'

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan branded the Netherlands "Nazi remnants, fascists" on Saturday after the Dutch government withdrew permission for his Foreign Minister to land there.

Rotterdam city authorities had on Friday withdrawn permission for him to attend a meeting to rally support for President Tayyip Erdogan's plans for extended powers, to be put to a referendum next month. Several other Euroepan cities have banned such meetings to be attended by Turkish officials.

Uza Syed | 7 years ago | Reply Endogan is too full of himself, he is doing to Turkey what it's enemies could not do. He has turned into a pathetic demagogue, not much better than a Saddam or Gadafi. It seems he's become too desperate to save his rapidly declining popularity at home and wish to create a hugely thick veil of nationalism to hide behind. I sincerely wish our Turkish brethren an endogan free Turkey soon.
