The International Women's Day is celebrated with emotions of liberation, independence, and salvation for the women around the globe.
While everyone is observing the day by showcasing the strength and vehemence, one Bollywood star has spoken up about women's rights and safety, and it has made us wonder, why exactly are we celebrating this day?
Kriti Sanon, in collaboration with Ms Taken, an Indian brand highlights the real problem that needs to be addressed in the light of this day. Are women safe?
In a video, posted on Ms Taken's Facebook page, and later on Kriti's official account, the Dilwale actor is seen holding placards.
The video starts, as she wishes everyone Women's Day. But soon rephrase it to "Same Sh**, Different Year."

The Heropanti star criticises the fact that most of us are 'just talking' about making a difference on this day, while no course of action in order to safeguard women is taken.
She holds a placard which reads, "Our streets are still unsafe."
The Raabta actor also takes a dig at the Bengaluru mass molestation incident on which Kamataka Home Minister went on to blame the 'western dressing' adopted by women to be the cause of mass molestation which occurred New Year's Eve. The card read, "Others still decide what we should wear."
"A large number of youngsters gathered - youngsters who are almost like westerners... they try to copy westerners not only in mindset, but even the dressing, so some disturbance, some girls are harassed, these kind of things do happen." he reportedly stated.
Celebrating International Women’s Day
She gave her two cents on the matter, saying that, "All we do is talk, and I'm done talking."
Kriti then storms off the camera, with a message, "Happy Whatever."
The message will surely make you ponder over the idea of Women's Day celebration.
