Governor’s claim: FATA team will participate in next PSL, Jhagra says

PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engr Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said a cricket team from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) will be made in order to participate in the third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

He made this announcement at an awards distribution ceremony held in honour of position holders and best performing teachers from Fata on Tuesday.

Jhagra said there is no dearth of talent among students in Fata. Providing basic opportunities to the students of Fata is the need of the hour. The government is focusing not only on curriculum activities but also co-curriculum ones as well.

“The PSL administration will be approached for the participation of Fata team in the PSL,” he added.

Jhagra reiterated, “The government is focusing on improvement of the education system. In fact ensuring improvement in working of education and health sectors of Fata is the utmost priority of the government which is expected to bring a positive impact. In this connection the Fata University has opened up in Fata.”
