Shehbaz orders speeding up potable water projects

Punjab CM says a lot of time has already been wasted in execution of this public welfare project

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said clean drinking water was a blessing and basic need of every citizen and steps would be taken for provision of potable water to the masses.

The chief minister expressed these views while presiding over a meeting on Tuesday to review progress of clean drinking water projects.

Speaking on the occasion, Shehbaz said a lot of time has already been wasted in execution of this public welfare project.

“Every movement is precious and there is a need to advance this programme speedily without any delay,” he added. Shehbaz said this programme, important for human health, should be completed as early as possible.

The chief minister said a German company would provide technical assistance in clean drinking water project.

Johan Boel, a German expert in water sector, represented him company in the meeting.
