1. Chocolate Malt Cake from Momufuku
Momufuku has a reputation for outstanding out-of-the-box desserts and this Chocolate Malt Cake is one of them. The cake has quite a few steps but it’s definitely worth the effort. The result is layers and layers of flavour and texture. Rich, dense, sweet and lusciously chocolaty, this is a cake you will savour spoonful after spoonful of and proudly make again.
For those who would rather make a simpler version, skip the crumbs and marshmallows. The chocolate cake alone is delicious!

2. Cappuccino Cake from BBC GoodFood
This is the lightest, spongiest coffee cake you will ever make. A fluffy cream cheese frosting is a great alternative to the mascarpone frosting recommended in the recipe. Add chopped walnuts for some texture and you’ll be very happily serving it with tea or on its own.

3. Seriously Rich Chocolate Cake by BBC GoodFood
This one is gluten free but no less exciting. Moist, rich dark and delicious, you definitely want to pair it with some crème fraiche. Replace the Cointreau with some orange extract mixed with orange juice and use good quality chocolate. You will definitely be saving this one for future use.
